It features a 180-degree adjustable hinge that enables various angles, allowing the phone to sit beside the screen in either portrait or landscape mode. While tailored for MagSafe-compatible iPhones (12 to 16 series), it also accommodates other phones using the included magnetic ring, adding flexibility.

Installation is straightforward: a 3M adhesive base sticks securely to flat surfaces, and a clear alignment card helps position the magnetic ring precisely on the phone or case. The magnet strength is robust, preventing accidental slips, and the hinge is stiff enough to maintain its position during use. 

However, once adhered, the base is largely immovable, and repositioning may weaken the adhesive or affect the hinge durability. Some users have reported long-term loosening in the swivel, particularly after multiple reattachments.

The lack of a ball-joint limits fine-grained angle adjustments, making the holder reliant on the laptop screen tilt for positioning. Still, this trade-off supports greater stability and fewer moving parts. With a discreet profile and foldable arm, the mount can remain attached without interfering with laptop storage or portability.
